Maine-Tucker Recruitment interviewed by BBC London Monday 30th July Maine-Tucker was invited to give our opinion on Boris Johnson’s application form for Mayor of London. Following the Daily Telegraph’s publication of the form, its unconventional content made headline news across London. BBC London was keen to find out how a professional recruiter would view the Tory MP’s application for the role. Lucy Kay, a Manager at Maine-Tucker Recruitment discussed the form with the BBC London reporter at our West End office. “I found the form poorly presented and lacking in relevant detail. Whilst some of the comments and joke answers are clearly amusing, I don’t think a sense of humour is part of the criteria when shortlisting for the next Mayor of London! We would normally expect application forms to contain relevant examples of past work history in order to illustrate a candidate’s suitability for a role”. |
