Temporary Desk Update

A blog by Carly

As I write, I know I'm going to be in trouble with Tash as my blog was actually due yesterday, but I'm late handing it in!  Happily that is because it has been so busy!

There is so much going on at present which makes for such a busy varied day! As well as helping my clients find the perfect temp and contract candidates, I've been busy doing internal recruitment (does anyone know any fantastic graduates to train up on our temps desk?!), getting involved in exciting strategy work, presenting to potential new clients, reviewing procedures and not to mention attending our fantastic Employment Law updates, the most recent one was on the pensions reforms.

The ELF's are great as they are not only an opportunity to refresh on legislation, but are also a chance to grab a coffee and a chat with our clients and find out what you are all up to.

So, with working long hours and a four hour commute it doesn't leave much time in the week, until Meeta gave me the great idea of going to the gym at lunchtimes! So now, a few days a week I take an hour for lunch and work out! Its a fantastic time saver but also helps you feel great throughout the day!

Outside of work things have been pretty busy for me too, I had a lovely birthday last month, watched friends run the Brighton marathon, enjoyed a trip to Newcastle where I got to go to a football game as well as see lovely friends and family, and back home fun on the pier and swimming in the sea (but yes it's still freezing)..  Oh and I celebrated an anniversary! it seems what was making me smile when I wrote my first blog a year ago, still is.
