Secretarial Recruitment at its best! Our Receptionist tells all....

A Blog by Kate Stannard - 25-11-11

Well guys, I can’t believe I’m here again. Where has that time gone? It’s been a busy few months, and a lot has happened since I last blogged...

I’ve been really busy recently helping the team out with some exciting recruitment projects. Denise told you all about our work finding retail staff for Angels Fancy Dress in the West End. Our temps worked through the Halloween period fantastically and they are still going strong, helping out with the upcoming festive season! A few weeks later I helped the team with a pitch to another big company, again on the retail side, so fingers crossed for that one! We’ll keep you posted!

My day on reception is pretty nonstop, there’s lots of administration to be done! We’ve had a great selection of both secretarial and financial candidates in recently, which has kept me busy along with the buzzing phones! There are lots of CVs to be updated, temp availability to be logged, candidate test results and documentation to file, references to obtain, and reports to record.  I get lots of visits from Max during the day, I think secretly he hopes one day I’ll give in to those eyes and feed him some treats! (We all know this is why he never leaves Manoj alone!)

As November rapidly draws to a close, that good old Christmas magic is beginning to sprinkle over London. The Regent and Oxford Street lights are definitely impressive this year, so if anyone hasn’t seen them yet, you should take a look! Meeta is desperate to get our Christmas tree up, but we are cruelly making her wait until December 1st. The consultants are also getting ready to host their Christmas drinks on the 14th, which we will all help with organising, and it’s our Secret Santa draw today, so the Christmas spirit has definitely already arrived at Maine-Tucker! (Chima is certainly already in the mood with those groovy dance moves!)

On that festive note, I had better get back to work. If you don’t hear from me before Christmas, drink lots, eat lots and be merry!

I’ll hand over to Manoj, who will keep you updated with all the news from Strictly Finance.
