We will manage the whole recruitment process for you. From the moment you call us, through the hunt, the shortlist and on to the final negotiation, we will make sure that every detail is handled.


Here's a quick snapshot of what happens:

  • The initial call – we will not waste your time, we only take on positions that we are confident we can efficiently recruit for. We will also pay attention to the detail, even down to which Consultant handles your assignment.
  • The Client visit – initially, we really do like to come and talk in person. It helps us to gain a better understanding of how your company works as well as the culture and personalities within your business. We can also map out with you timescales to suit your diary and expectations.
  • The hunt – once your Maine-Tucker Consultant has the job spec they will manage a campaign to find the best possible Candidates. Firstly we look at our network/database of currently registered candidates (many arrive at our door by personal recommendation). In addition we source from our constant net presence ads, we can also target your exact criteria in any of the media arenas. All Candidates will be re-interviewed for each separate job to ensure we are right up-to-date on their situation. Where appropriate you can rely on us to take up references and run Candidates through any of your preferred tests (including psychometric). Maine-Tucker invests in staying one step ahead in terms of constantly trawling the market for talented candidates. Each Candidate CV will come to you with a summary note so you can see at a glance why they made the shortlist.
  • The shortlist – our shortlists are short! You will only see top quality Candidates who can do the job. It is then just down to the chemistry between them and you, something you can only judge on meeting them.
  • Negotiation – in close consultation with you we will take time and trouble to secure the Candidate you chose at the salary you chose. It’s a very competitive market for top quality financial staff and we know you need this part of the process carried out with real finesse. We have an advantage here because we inform all our Candidates that the advice they receive from Maine-Tucker is unbiased. It has to be because we make nothing if we get it wrong! So Candidates are confident that we will never “sell them into a job” because of our guarantees.
